Steps: (1) If you decide to paint around the window for added dimension you will need to start off taping around the window frames, ceiling and any other trimming you don’t want to get paint on. This part of the window treatment is optional but can add a nice touch to the window area.
(2) Next, you will want to measure your window. Mark those measurements using a pencil onto the window film cover. Take scissors and cut the window film down to the needed size.
(3) Peel off the backside of the window film and apply it to the window. Starting at the top of window working slowly downward working out any air bubbles as you go. To remove any air bubbles rub outwards to the sides of the window.
(4) Now you will want to attach the curtain rails, to the top of the curtain panels. On the back of the rails there should be some adhesive backing that you can peel off and attach the curtain panels to them. Afterwards you will securely anchor the curtain panels with the screws that were included with the rails.
(5) Before screwing the rails to the wall you will want to drill and place an anchor into each of the drilled holes. Then you can screw the bracket into place.
(6) According to the manufacturer’s instructions you will then assemble and hang the curtain. Slide the top panel rail onto the bracket you just attached to the wall. Then position the panels in front of the window. You may decide to have a layer look using different colors or different type panels. In this case you will need to buy the double curtain rail. The steps are the same as for the one layer.
This is an easy project to do and can add so much beauty to a window. The curtain rail enables you to move the position of the panels for different lighting and looks.
